These old FBGM tactics should be listed somewhere, as an example of very early post-nerf DoA tactics. The Mistyreous Mystery of Misty (talk) 21:37, 24 June 2018 (CEST)
- Also these... was this really normal for most guilds back then?? The Mistyreous Mystery of Misty (talk) 21:40, 24 June 2018 (CEST)
- I don't think they should be listed. Maybe the only thing that is note-worthy is that MLK had Diversion at first, and Backfire was moved on the monk. People quickly realized that you can kill monklord with backfire+empathy, so backfire went back to the MLK, and monk dropped it for EE. Everything else didn't really change. The part about trench pops was a brief guild tactic simply because we had some really good tanks and bad spikers at that time, so regular trench pop would sometimes be a mess and slow down the run even more.--HasKha (talk) 20:18, 26 June 2018 (CEST)
- Yeah that sounds like good information to have. Would you like to write a couple of sentences about how the meta evolved after the necrotic nerf? I didn't play in 2013 so I don't really know about that. The Mistyreous Mystery of Misty (talk) 21:08, 26 June 2018 (CEST)
- I can write what happened to FBGM, I'm not sure about the rest. I think most guilds just kept running the same builds, killing monklord as a team after being done with the other 3. Hudini and I came up with the MLK role, using wastrel and diversion to kill monklord. At first we did 3-trench pop and had TT at 6-0, then we went back to having an IaU, moved empathy on the MLK, and started doing what basically are the current tactics. Other guilds picked up the MLK role, and someone (maybe the frenchies, I know it wasn't us) started using Backfire instead of Diversion. We adopted that, and that's essentially the current meta. We kept iterating on tactics and improving wherever possible, often doing safer versions of tactics we developed for speedruns, such as eoe on monk, ee on everyone, push in 4th room, 1 eoe, MLK staying at last mank + hos through wall, etc. I don't know if I should add this to the main page, it's heavily from my point of view. --HasKha (talk) 00:18, 29 June 2018 (CEST)
