Talk:Edge of Extinction

The main focus of this page should be the mechanics of EoE, particularly the stuff that not everyone seems to know:

  • when an agent dies in range of an EoE spirit, it deals damage to all agents of the same species that are in spirit range of the dying agent, in spirit range of an EoE spirit, and below 90% health
  • if you're not in spirit range of an EoE, you won't take damage
  • if you're a different species to the dying agent, you won't take damage - list some places this is relevant in SCs
  • when humans die, EoE can damage the party
  • fellow party members
  • in Depletion room in The Deep (the room after the pads), you will be spiking humans
  • Orders of Whispers in Ravenheart Gloom
  • a Ghost-in-the-Box dies 8 seconds after being popped, triggering damage to ghosts - this is relevant for Fury in DoA and Mindblades, 4H, and Tortured Spirits in UW
  • Some balls contain enemies of different species, which will not damage each other with EoE
  • if you're not in spirit range of the agent that died, you won't take damage
  • if you're not in spirit range of an EoE, you don't trigger it when you die
  • if you're above 90% health, you won't take damage

This looks pretty ugly, but it's information that should be on the page. After that we can have some tips on making use of EoE:

  • notes on EoE placement, including the video that's currently on the page - obviously don't restrict this to city though
  • some common mistakes - places people put EoE when they shouldn't e.g. first wave of room 4 (when not pushing), at cave before wandering enemies are killed, placing it before the enemies have spawned, too close to the cliff at clover so it gets aggro.. etc etc
  • places you might not think to put EoE because it's not part of normal tactics e.g. pools side at 4H (normally the team would not be there)
  • a link to off-damage - that page obviously needs some work too
  • brief explanation of what an EoE chain is, and why it's not necessarily enough to just get everything below 90% before 1 enemy dies
