Forest Griffons, usually abbreviated as just "griffs" or "griffons", spawn when the quest A Gift of Griffons is taken in the Fissure of Woe. These creatures follow any moving party member unless one player calls a target, after which the griffons will follow the caller instead. Note that they will not start moving until a player has moved into the corner where they spawn.

How to ping effectively
- Use suppress action while pinging (default is Ctrl+Shift+Space) so you don't run towards the target.
- Do not target something that might die (e.g. a spirit). When it dies, the ping will end, and the griffs will stop following.
- Target a enemy far away from the griffs - if it's too close to them, they may attack the target instead of following you.
- Pinging works better when you are further away from the Griffons. Thus, players should try to gain distance from them when pinging.
