Catacombs of Kathandrax is a dungeon that is commonly run for a Hammer of Kathandrax. The quest for this dungeon is called Kathandrax's Crusher, given by Swithin Nye who stands near the entrance to the dungeon. Note that the quest reward for this dungeon should not be accepted or else you will lose your Hammer. Pug groups typically form at Doomlore Shrine in American Districts.
Area Description
Level 1
The main team kills the Infernal Siege Worm (1320 hp) and picks up the key while the Gater gates.
Level 2
The main team kills the Regent of Flame (880 hp) and picks up the key while the Gater gates.
Level 3
Kill the Flame Djinn, pick up the key, run to the end, kill Ilsundur, Lord of Fire.
Current Meta Builds
Spearway is often done with weaker teams. Daggerway is done with stronger teams but it has a higher chance of failure.

Equipment
- Basic Assassin Equipment
- The Barbs Gater needs a combination of pcons and a Dagger Mastery rune in order to hit 9 Dagger Mastery, the requirement on their Daggers.
Usage
- On level 3, the entire team runs into the corner beside the Gate Lock near where the Flame Djinn spawns and kills it. Then, the team makes their way towards the end boss and kills him to complete the dungeon.
Tips
- On level 3, the team should make sure to keep the Flame Djinn permanently knocked down through a combination of YMLaD's and dagger attacks with GDW.
- Do not immediately Death's Charge to Ilsundur because he turns into a fireball which immediately kills you.
- At Ilsundur, remember to drop Firebombs away from the rest of your party in order to prevent your team from wiping. The fastest way to do this is is to run away from your party and either Death's Charge back to the boss or Ebon Escape to an ally near the boss, as the shadow step will cause you to drop any items that you are holding.
- If enough members of the team make it to Ilsundur, Shadow Form should not be maintained since the damage reduction severely reduces the damage dealt with Repeating Strike. Similarly, Shadow Form should not be maintained for the Infernal Siege Worm on level 1 and the Regent of Flame on level 2.
- On the other hand, if Shadow Form is up, it may be better to autoattack instead of spamming Repeating Strike due to the chance of double striking.

This way shows how the guild [trip] does Kath. Its faster than daggerway but also requires a bit more coordination/experience, since it relies on the usage of echoed Ebon Vanguard Assassins, which can add up to a total amount of 20 with the usage of a Pstone at the Endboss.
Usage
- Leader Usage: someone experienced with a quick load should play this role since everyone relies on his movement. the rest is pretty straight forward.
- AMe Usage: double evas with echo, autoattack with q9 daggers after using it 2x(4x at endboss with a pstone)
- Buffer Usage: The buffer should always pay attention to use gdw on people in this order: gater (since he has no skills to use, he can permanently autoattack), leader (since he only uses honor+barbs) and after it on one or two of the a/me's since they will be busy spamming evas most of the time.
- Gater Usage: someone experienced with a quick load should play this role too, since everyone relies on the time he takes to run to the next level. focus on clever usage of your shadowsteps (also ee on the delrimor signal fires speeds up especially level 2 and the way to endboss at level 3)
- On lvl 1, the gater gates, while the leader leads the group to the worm to obtain the key.
- On lvl 2, the gater gates, while the leader leads the group to the ele-boss to obtain the key.
- On lvl 3, the leader leads the whole team as a closed group into the corner at the gate so no enemies follow. kill the djinn with doubled evas/barbs/honor. the gater picks up the key, the leader opens the gate. after the gate is open, the gater will be the first at the endboss (because he got 3 jumps) to trigger him and make the fire balls patrol away. while running through endboss room, the buffer puts gdw on the leader and the gater and uses bloodbond on the boss, while all a/me's double their evas, use it 2x and then pstone to use it again x2 (this is where coordination is required) to kill the boss very quickly.
