Pizza
Pizza is a flatbread composed mostly of flour and water, topped with tomato sauce and cheese and baked in the oven. The modern pizza was invented in Naples, Italy. Pizza is a great food for GW Speedclears, it's healthy and cheap to make.
Ingredients
Dough for 2 pizzas
- Flour 500 gr
- Water 300 ml
- Sugar 1 teaspoon
- Salt 1 tablespoon
- Olive Oil 1 tablespoon
- Yeast 3.5 gr
Topping
- Tomato Sauce 200/250 gr per pizza
- Mozzarella 200 gr per pizza
- And anything you like (not pineapple please though)
Preparation
In a bow or container start with the water and add salt (1), mix with a spoon, then pour the oil (2). In another bowl (large) start with the flour, add the yeast and the sugar, mix a bit to spread the yeast. Pour the first bowl into the flour (3).
Start kneading with a wooder spoon or your hands (4). Keep a bit of flour on the side and add it to the dought if it gets too sticky (5). Keep kneading until you obtain a smooth and soft dough. Split it in two, form two balls and find some place where it can rest for two hours. Remember that it will double its size and it must be clear of any air currents. Cover it with some cloth to be safe and let it rest for about two hours.
While waiting, prepare the baking tin (diameter of about 34cm) (7). Once the dough is risen turn on your oven to 250 degrees Celsius, then (8) take the dough (9), flatten it (10) to make a circle (11) in the baking tin (12).
In a small bow pour the tomato sauce (13), a pinch of salt (14) and optionally some Oregano
Take the mozzarella, cut it small cubes (16) and add it to the pizza, then add the tomato (15) (yes the picture is different - trust me). Once you are done with the topping (17) bake for 15 minutes at 250 Celsius and enjoy your Pizza (18).
